His photographic journey began in the world of art. Through his images, he has documented numerous contemporary art exhibitions and is the author of several art catalogues. While pursuing other professional paths, he has always continued to nurture his passion for photography, with works published both in Italy and abroad. He is a member of the Campania Order of Journalists.
Since his first exhibition, ARTISTI, created with artist Tony Stefanucci at Caffè dell’Epoca, he has taken part in numerous group exhibitions in Naples, Rome, Paris, and Miami. As part of the event Napoli incontra il Mondo 2017, he presented the solo exhibition SCATTI X L’ARTE – telling the city and its signs.
He joined the SOS Partenope project at Castel dell’Ovo and was among the participants in the group exhibition Un Eco X tutti, which traveled from the MANN in Naples to Miami on the occasion of Art Basel 2017. With the exhibitions Arte e la Città (PAN | Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, 2018) and La Musica e la Città (Castel Nuovo | Maschio Angioino, 2019), he explored the relationship between Naples, artists, and musicians.
In 2022, he produced a calendar for the TempoLibero Association dedicated to the fight against violence against women, a theme further developed in the exhibition ioSono, presented in November 2023 in collaboration with artist Pietro Loffredo at the National Library of Naples.
In 2024, he created the images for the calendar curated by Floria Bufano.
He collaborates closely with the publishing house La Valle del Tempo, for which he has produced the photographs for numerous publications, including the series Agorà. Shadows and History in the Squares of Naples I, II, III, and IV — the latter volume focusing on the squares of the city’s immediate outskirts — as well as volumes dedicated to Florence, Perugia, and the streets of Pizzofalcone.
He also signed the images for Valanga Azzurra – Napoli in festa and for the book 3 scudetti e uno quarto – Marea Azzurra, dedicated to Napoli’s fourth Serie A championship title.
In the first volume of the Napoli storia pocket series, entitled Una, nessuna, duemilacinquecento Napoli. The Literature that Tells the City, the photographs are by Nando Calabrese.
