CREATIVES IN THE TIME OF CORONAVIRUS  resilience against anguish

The TempoLibero association, chaired by Clorinda Irace, is launching a new major project aimed at the world of creativity: artists, artisan-jewelers and ceramists, writers and poets are called together to offer the city their inspiration and resilience in a tragic and dramatic moment whose end is difficult to foresee. Just as with the INCENDIUM exhibition in 2013, in support of Città della Scienza, TempoLibero invites the creative world to react and act against a new fire that is blazing around us.

Alongside the Association, the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Naples as part of its #laculturanonsiferma# program

The project has two objectives:

to try to give meaning to the solitude in which everyone is forced, recovering that vital energy that seems to be draining away and finding it again through a creative moment that, specifically, also takes on a solidarity aspect.

To try to also be concretely useful, offering the works in exchange for donations aimed at alleviating the severe economic hardship of many. A direct and immediate commitment that – without claiming to solve very serious situations – can at least help to lift people out of that terrible poverty which is a side effect of the virus.

The method is simple:

Artists and poets offer one of their works for a virtual exhibition conceived and curated by Clorinda Irace, which will be hosted on the #laculturanonsiferma# social page of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Naples, on the association's website and its social pages, as well as on the social media and websites of the project's numerous partners, companies, associations, schools...

A wish for rebirth and regeneration for a world in turmoil, but also a concrete commitment. The works, in fact, can be acquired by making a donation that will be given to the Common Solidarity Fund "IL CUORE DI NAPOLI" established by the Municipality to support families impoverished by the emergency.

The network

To ensure maximum resonance for the exhibition, the TempoLibero association has formed a wide network of associations, organizations, and companies that, as partners in the initiative, will help to spread and circulate it on their websites and social pages:

The Fondazione Premio Napoli, the companies: Gruppo Capri Alcott Gutteridge, GCO ossigeno, Tecnoin, Studio legale Gaeta, CIO, Consorzio italiano ossigeno, Yao Sushi;

the associations: Palazzi napoletani, Punto Org, étant donnés, Arte Studio Gallery, pARTy Napoli.

The media partner of the project is  the publication “Il mondo di Suk” alongside the young social experiment “Casa d’Andrea”.  The Marano Spot Festival association will take care of the technical-artistic realization of the virtual exhibition.  The ISIS “Boccioni Palizzi” chaired by Prof. Paola Guma, will collaborate on the entire project with the commitment of its teachers and students. The artist Tony Stefanucci designed the project logo, a logo that, between irony and winks, denounces that art itself is viral.
